It is available on Unix,Unix-like and windows NT-based operating systems.
2.PING-is a computer network tool used to test whether a particular host is reachangeable across an IP networks; it is also used to self test the network interface card of a computer. It works by sending ICMP,echo request and packets to the target host & listening for ICMP,echo response & replies. Ping estimates the round-trip time,generally in milleseconds, and records and pocket loss, and prints a statistical summary when finished.
-the word PING is also frequently used as a verb or noun,where it can refer directly to the round trip-time the act of running a ping program or measured the round trip-time.
3.IP conf.-also known as internet protocol config. in microsoft Windows is a console application that displays all current TCP/IP networks configuration values and refreshed dynamics host configuration protocol DHCP & Domain name systems DNS setting/ Similar GUI tools named winipcfg. & wntipcfg. also exist. The former pre-dates IPconfg.
